Biomass/Oil Comparison
a) 1 litre of gas-oil produces approximately 8.0 kWhrs (in 80% efficient boilers)
b) 1kg woodchip (26% moisture content) produces 3.1 kWhrs
c) 1 litre of gas-oil is replaced by 2.4 kg woodchip (26% moisture content)

2.3 kg grain (13% - 18% moisture content)
d) average woodchip -	220 kg/m³
average wood pellets -	680 kg/m³
average grain -	880 kg/m³
*max. output potential reduces with increased water, bark, soil/sand/grit content. The maximum outputs are only achievable with clean, dry woodchip free of contamination and with low bark content.
